Hello, and welcome to my website. I am a licensed clinical psychologist in Florida (PY10435) and California (PSY29720). I received my doctorate in clinical psychology (Psy.D.) from the American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University in Alameda, CA. I have been working in the mental health field for over 10 years. My training includes working in outpatient clinics with diverse clientele, with forensic populations, and with individuals with severe mental illness. It is my passion to help others uncover their inner strength. I pride myself on taking a collaborative approach to treatment, meaning working together to find solutions and to explore your experience. I specialize in mindfulness-based interventions, teaching present moment awareness to my individual clients as well as in non-clinical settings. I also specialize in working with, and helping individuals process traumatic experiences.

I enjoy working with children, families, couples, and adults in a variety of settings. I provide consultation services to businesses and supervise psychology trainees. I have served as an expert witness, providing in-court expert witness testimony on the topics of mental illness, major mood disorders, psychosis, trauma, addiction, and violence risk.

I use evidence-based approaches, including CBT, psychodynamic, and mindfulness-based techniques to best help you work through hard times.

As human beings, we carry our wounds with us from day to day. You may be feeling stuck, overwhelmed, vulnerable, anxious, and downright tired and depressed. Life's challenges can be difficult and can even seem impossible to overcome. Although we may not know it in the moment, we all have the strength and freedom within us to make choices that will help us meet these challenges. My role as a psychotherapist involves joining you in uncovering underlying stressors as well as your strengths in order to create change.

Everyone I work with has their own story. I take a non-judgmental and open stance when listening to your story and help you find your inner strengths to problem-solve. My approach is tailored to you and takes into consideration your individual needs.

I am invested in creating a safe space for all, independent of race, culture, sexual orientation, age, or religion. Cultural awareness and appreciation of diversity are a keystone of my office and practice. Finding help can be hard. My door is open to anyone who is struggling (or even just to explore themselves)and is looking for compassionate treatment. I look forward to the possibility of working with you.
