I work with young adults, adults, and couples experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, grief, and relationship difficulties. I also work with teens and provide consultation for professionals. Therapy is tailored to each individual's concerns and personal goals — if you're unsure whether I can help, just ask.
My approach is integrative and evidence-based. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based strategies, and psychodynamic techniques to support insight, emotional healing, and meaningful change. I also offer Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) for trauma, anxiety, depression, and phobias. Your treatment is always tailored to you.

Yes. I accept Aetna insurance plans (non-marketplace/employer plans) in Florida, Pennsylvania, and California. I am also an out-of-network provider for all other insurance plans. Yes. Therapy is confidential and conducted in accordance with professional ethical standards and all applicable legal requirements. Your privacy is a foundational part of the therapeutic relationship. There are narrow legal exceptions (e.g., imminent risk of harm), which will be discussed with you at the start of treatment.
Yes. In addition to being licensed in Florida, Pennsylvania, and California, I am authorized through PSYPACT, which allows me to provide telehealth therapy to clients in over 40 participating U.S. states. If you're unsure whether your state participates, feel free to reach out and I'll confirm your eligibility.
ART is a rapidly effective, evidence-based therapy that uses eye movements and imagery techniques to process and resolve distressing memories and emotional responses. It is particularly effective for trauma (PTSD), anxiety, depression, and phobias — often achieving significant results within just 1–5 sessions. Dr. Assouline is trained in ART and offers it as part of his treatment options.
The duration of therapy varies depending on your goals, the concerns you bring, and your progress. Some clients achieve their goals in a focused short-term treatment of 8–12 sessions. Others benefit from longer-term work. This is something we'll discuss and reassess together throughout our work.
