I'm Dr. Joseph Assouline, Psy.D. ("Dr. A"), a licensed psychologist. I offer therapy for adults and couples by secure telehealth, and Pennsylvania is one of the three states where I'm licensed.

What I offer

Individual therapy. Support for adults working through what's hard right now, drawing on approaches such as CBT, psychodynamic and mindfulness-based techniques. See all therapy services.

Couples therapy. A structured space for both partners to be heard, whether you're navigating conflict, growing apart, or wanting to strengthen what you have. Sessions are by secure video.

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). A structured therapy that uses guided eye movements and imagery to work with distressing memories. ART is not EMDR, and it is not creative art therapy. Learn what ART is and how online sessions work.

Paying for therapy

Aetna employer plans: I'm in-network with Aetna employer (non-marketplace) plans in Pennsylvania.

Other plans: I'm out-of-network. You pay per session, and I send a monthly superbill (it includes a diagnosis code) that you can submit to your insurer for possible out-of-network reimbursement.

Private pay: some people prefer to pay privately even when they have insurance. Why some clients choose private pay.

Fees aren't listed on the site; you're welcome to ask about them during the free consultation. More detail is on Insurance & Superbills.
