How to Schedule

To schedule your free 15-minute phone consultation, call (813) 906-9810. During the call, we'll discuss what brings you in and whether working together seems like a good fit. If so, we'll book your first full session right then.

It's as simple as that.

Cancellation Policy

Once an appointment time is scheduled, you will be expected to pay for the session unless you cancel at least 24 hours in advance.

There is an exception to this policy if we both agree that the missed appointment was due to circumstances genuinely beyond your control.

Insurance & Payment

Dr. Assouline currently accepts Aetna employer plans in Florida, Pennsylvania, and California.

I am also an out-of-network provider and can provide an invoice for individuals with out-of-network benefits. Payment is collected at the time of service. Upon request, I provide a monthly superbill you can submit to your insurance carrier for possible reimbursement.

Before starting treatment, I encourage you to contact your insurance carrier and ask:

• Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
• Does it cover out-of-network providers for mental health services?
• What is my deductible and has it been met?
• How many sessions per year does my plan cover?
• What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
• What diagnoses are covered, if not all?
• Is all psychotherapy covered? (Individual, Couple, Family, Teen?)
• Is approval required from my primary care physician?

Other Services & Fees

Additional services may include clinical supervision, psychological testing, report writing, consultation, treatment summaries, and other requested professional services. Payment is due at the time services are rendered unless other arrangements have been made.

In circumstances of unusual financial hardship, I am available to discuss repayment arrangements. Phone calls exceeding 15 minutes will be charged at a prorated rate. All major credit cards are accepted.
