Appointments
To schedule your free 15-minute phone consultation, call (813) 906-9810. If we decide that we are a good fit during the consultation call, we can then go ahead and schedule your first session.
It’s as simple as that.
Cancellation Policy
Once an appointment time is scheduled, you will be expected to pay for it unless you cancel 24 hours in advance (note: there is an exception to this policy if we both agree that the reason for the missed appointment was because of circumstances that were beyond your control).
Insurance
Dr. Assouline is currently accepts Aetna plans in Florida and California.
I am also an “out of network” provider and can provide an invoice for individuals with out of network benefits. I collect payment at the time of service. At your request, I will provide you with a monthly superbill that you may submit to your insurance carrier and receive reimbursement based on what your mental health plan allows. Prior to securing mental health treatment, I encourage you to contact your insurance carrier and confirm coverage.
Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:
Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
Does it cover out-of-network providers for mental health services?
What is my deductible and has it been met?
How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
What diagnoses are covered, if not all?
Is all psychotherapy covered? Individual? Couple? Family? Teen?
Is approval required from my primary care physician?
Other services may include, supervision, psychological testing, report writing, consultation, preparation of treatment records or treatment summaries, and time spent on performing any other service that you request of me. Payment is due at the time services are rendered unless other arrangements have been made. In circumstances of unusual financial hardship, I am available to discuss repayment arrangements. Phone calls over 15 minutes will be charged accordingly. Cash, check, and all major credit cards are accepted.
